I began documenting the community of Skid Row in Los Angeles, California, in 2014. Through my volunteer work with nonprofits like Share A Meal and The Midnight Mission, I have been able to get to know the people of this community, share their stories, and understand the political side of this catastrophe in our society.

As I continue this project, my goal is still the same as it was six years ago: to shine a light on an extraordinary issue that we have become numb to and bring awareness to a humanitarian crisis in Los Angeles that our local government has been ignoring for decades. There is a lot we can do and a lot that needs to be done.

AS OF JANUARY 2020, ACCORDING TO THE LAHSA HOMELESS COUNT, THERE ARE 66,436 PEOPLE EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS.
